ONE minute of voice recording creates the following file size
on your computer:
- One minute voice recording in .prm takes 36 Kb
To record your voice in .prm format,
- One minute voice recording in .mp3 takes 60 Kb
To record your voice in .mp3 format,
- One minute voice recording in .gsm takes 95 Kb
To convert existing audio files to GSM 6.10 8kHz
- Go to Start > Programs > Accessoires > Entertainment > Sound Recorder
- Select Open from the File menu. Select the desired WAV file, and click OK
- Select Save As... from the File menu
- Click Change to display the Sound Selection dialog box
- Select GSM 6.10 from the Format list box
- Select 8 kHz, Mono from the Attributes list box, and click OK
- Specify a new Filename, if desired, and click Save
- One minute voice recording in .wav takes 960 Kb
Go to Start > Programs > Accessoires > Entertainment > Sound Recorder to record a WAV file
